In this article, you’ll learn how to send faxes using the GoTo integration within your Servis.ai instance. We’ll walk you through using the Faxes App, including how to attach files and manage everything directly from Servis.ai.
Sending Faxes
To send a fax, navigate to the app you selected in the Enable Auto-Sync dropdown. Within the selected app, locate a record containing a phone number.
Click the “Send Fax” button next to the number associated with that record to initiate the fax transmission.
When you click the Send Fax button, a modal will appear:

This will automatically populate with the same number from which you clicked the Send Fax button.
Fax Machine
This represents the recipient, and each Fax ID belongs to a specific Fax Machine.
You can manage fax machines by adding or removing them through the GoTo Admin Center, allowing you to customize your fax setup to match your organization’s needs.
Note: After adding a new Fax ID (Fax Machine), click Authorize GoTo each time to ensure proper integration.
Attachments
This will open your file browser so you can select the file you want to send.
Once the fax is sent, it will appear in the All Faxes view in the Faxes App.
Faxes App
To access this app, go to Activities > Faxes > All Faxes.
Below are the key columns in the Faxes App and what they represent:
ID
Displays the Record ID for each fax. Clicking an ID opens its Details Page.
From & To
These columns show the numbers sending and receiving the fax.
Note: The “To” number links to a record when sent from Servis.ai, while the “From” number is generated by your GoTo account.
Attachment
Faxes require attachments; sending plain text without a file is not supported.
Supported file formats include:

All files are converted into a single PDF document. For example, sending multiple images will result in one combined PDF.
Status
Fax statuses include:
- None: No status assigned.
- Delivered: Fax delivered successfully.
- Delivery Failed: Fax could not be delivered.
- Queued: Waiting to be sent.
- Received: Fax received successfully.
- Scheduled: Scheduled for later sending.
- Sending Failed: Error during transmission.
- Sent: Fax has been sent.
Source App & Source Record
Shows the originating app and record based on your Auto-Sync configuration.
Send Date & Created
Send Date shows when the fax was sent, while Created shows when it was generated.
Is Inbound
Indicates whether the fax is inbound.
After authorizing GoTo, all sent faxes will automatically sync to the Faxes App.
Error Messages
Displays user-friendly error messages generated by GoTo to help troubleshoot failed transmissions.
Fax ID
Each Fax ID corresponds to a recipient configured in your GoTo Admin Center.
Note: Ensure the user authorizing GoTo has the necessary permissions to manage faxes for all intended recipients (Fax Machines).
