Automating emails can save time and ensure consistent messaging—especially when using templates. With servis.ai, the Send Email action allows you to automatically send emails based on specific triggers, such as when a record is created or updated.
Key features include:

- Custom sender and recipient fields, using either dynamic data or static values
- CC options and file attachments for added flexibility
How to Set Up the Send Email Action
Name: Enter a name to easily identify this action within your automation.
Step: Select which previous step (such as Create Record, Update Record, or Find Record) should trigger the email. The email is only sent if that step succeeds.
Email Template: Click the Email Template button to choose from your existing templates. A modal will open where you can select the desired template. Learn more about templates here.
From: This field has two modes:
- From [Selected App]: Select a field that contains a user. That user becomes the sender. The value is pulled from the triggering record.
- From Static Value: Choose any user from your servis.ai instance manually as the sender.
To: Works the same as the From field and supports both modes.
In Static Value mode, this field behaves like a search bar—start typing to find users or email addresses and select the correct option.
In From [Selected App] mode, you select a field containing the email value. For example:
- Selecting Created By uses the associated user as the sender.
- Selecting Work Email or Personal Email uses the email stored in that field.
Cc: Add users or email addresses to receive a copy of the email. Start typing and select from the dropdown.
Attachment: Attach files to the email by clicking + Add File. You can include multiple files if needed.
