Organizations let you mirror your company’s structure inside Servis.ai (e.g., Enterprise → Business Unit → Department). Use it to segment data, limit visibility, improve reporting, and enforce access automatically.
Enable and Configure

Turn on:
System Preferences → Enable Organization. -
Navigation: A new Organizations menu appears in the sidebar.

Start empty: Create your organizational layers manually.
Define the Hierarchy

Flexible depth: Enterprise → Business Unit → Department (or your own levels).

Each organization record includes:

Name

Parent (links it in the tree)

Level

Tags (to group units across branches, e.g., all healthcare departments worldwide)

Assign Users and Roles

Each assignment needs:

Role (e.g., Admin, Lead, Agent)

Permissions:

Admins: Global access across all organizations.

Non-admins: Restricted to their assigned organization(s) when enforcement is on.

Access Enforcement
-
Control: Enforce Organization Access (toggle).
-
Off: Everyone can see all records.
-
On: Users only see records in their organization and its descendants.

Data Model Integration

Organization field is available in each app’s settings.

With enforcement active, records are automatically linked to the correct organization.

New records inherit the organization from the user’s current context.
Global Organization Selector

A global dropdown appears for users with assigned organizations.

Selecting an organization filters data across apps that support enforcement.

If a user belongs to multiple organizations, record creation defaults to the first matching organization.

Users can switch context before creating or viewing records.
Visibility Examples

Admin users: See all records (even with enforcement on).

Department users: See/create records only in their department (and its child orgs).

Tags: Report and filter across multiple organizations via shared tags.
Record Creation Behavior

On create, the record:

Inherits the active organization from the global selector.

If context is None, Servis.ai assigns the first matching organization for that user.

You can expose the Organization field on forms to manually override.
