With this widget, you can add a search bar to your Dashboards or Pages in Servis.ai. 

The search box at the top of the menu will help you get to where you need to go faster. This is a global search which means that it will take your keyword(s) and match it to any existing record within the application you’ve chosen when configuring the widget.

Usage Example

As soon as you start typing in the search bar, the results will show all those records that start with the word you search for. Here is an example, if you are searching for Servis.ai you just need to type “Servis”, and the platform will retrieve “Servis.ai” (and all other matches that start with “Servis”).

Configuration

As you configure your widget you’ll see the view in the right panel update in real time to reflect the changes you’ve made. 

1. Title

This will add a title for your widget in the top left-hand corner of the screen.

2. Message

This message will appear right above the search bar. You could use this to describe the type of search the widget is for. If it’s for the Contacts app it could say “Search Contacts”. 

3. App

This field is for choosing the application your search widget will be used for. Although this is a global search box it’s limited to searching the records and fields from the application you choose here.

Click on the ‘Save’ button once you’re finished configuring your widget.

Layout

Now you can decide where you would like to place your widget and how large it should be. It’s as simple as dragging and dropping with your mouse or trackpad.
