At FreeAgent, we’ve been working hard to deliver new enhancements to help you crush your goals in 2023!

Set Fields via Buttons

Now admins can add no code buttons via a new App Action type called ‘Set Fields.’

Set as many fields as you’d like. Place your new button on the detail page, on a card, or any other ‘placement’ App Actions support.

Support for Group Email

Now admins can add and pair group email accounts, like support@mycompany.com and sales@mycompany.com.

Once paired, inbound email will sync automatically. With the right matching roles, team members can send email from the group email (as well as their own paired account). Customer service teams rejoice!

AI-Powered Email Writing Assistant

Are you tired of sending out emails with embarrassing typos, grammatical errors, or unclear messaging? Do you struggle to find the right words to express your thoughts, emotions, and intentions effectively? If so, we’ve got some exciting news for you.

FreeAgent CRM has partnered with OpenAI to offer you a powerful email writing assistant that uses advanced artificial intelligence to review, correct, and enhance your email writing before you hit ‘Send.’ It’s like having a professional writing coach at your fingertips – and it’s entirely free!

To get started, simply click on the ‘robot’ icon located in the lower right of the Email floating panel.

You can choose from a range of pre-defined prompts or create your own custom prompt to suit your specific needs. With a single click, the AI-powered assistant will generate an alternate version of your email, correcting grammar, improving phrasing, injecting humor, and more.

Once you’re satisfied with the revised email, click ‘Accept Changes,’ and the new text will be automatically copied back into your email composition window. It’s that simple! With this innovative tool, you can save time, improve accuracy, and make a lasting impression on your recipients with every email you send.

Phone Scripts for Better Calls!

Now you can create Phone Scripts to help your team members conduct more effective calls with customers and prospects. Scripts can include variables so you can read what to say without missing a beat.

Phone Scripts can be included in phone task automations. When you click the green ‘call’ button the phone call floating panel will pop up and the correct Phone Script will default into the call log.

You can access Phone Scripts from the Phone Call app menu.

See Meeting Details from My Agenda

Now you can click into your meetings from My Agenda and see the details, including links to Zoom, Microsoft Teams, or Google Meet.

Webhook Executions

Now admins can see when webhooks are called via a new page: Webhook Executions. Each webhook execution record contains the date-time of the call, input and response information, as well as references to any related Jobs or Workflow Activities.

Editor for Custom Code

Now admins who create and edit custom code have a brand new editor with lots of great new features. You can use it inline and click the expand icon to get a full-page editing experience.

Numbered code lines for improved readability
See auto-complete hints while typing
Auto-highlight of all coincidences in the code & automatic hiding of code in brackets {…}, making it easier to manage complex code

New Email Template Selector

Now choosing email templates is even easier. Click the folder icon with the heart at the bottom of the email composition window to access all your Email Templates.

With the new Email Template Selector you can use search – and even browse between different folders. Once you’ve found your template click its name to select it and return to your email composition window.

Better Email Compose Window

Now you have a roomier email composition window to use when composing and sending email from FreeAgent. Select email templates easier, access the AI digital assistant to improve your writing, add attachments, and even access cc and bcc fields more intuitively.

New Automation Builder

Now admins can build NO CODE automations in minutes and without help from a consultant! It’s so easy.

Create your automation just like always. Pick whether your automation will trigger based on a new record creation or update, or from an App Action, webhook call, etc.

Then click to add each action – choose from Email, Phone, Text, or Todo Task creation, Create Record, Update Record, or Custom Code.

Click the gear icon to edit the action once it’s added. Fill out just a few fields and you’re all set.

Actions fire sequentially. And you can include ‘Wait’ actions to delay the automation until it’s time for the next step. Use this combination of task and wait actions to easily create email, phone, and text-based drip campaigns.

You can also use this easier automation builder to automatically create a task list for any stage of a deal, ticket, quote, account – any app.

Finally, know that Create and Update of records are so easy with the new builder! Just specify the fields and field values you want and you’re done. No huge form, no custom code. This is how easy the automation setup now is to change the lead stage to SQL on a triggering contact:

Add to Menu

Now admins can quickly add a view to the App menu for all users. What a time saver! Simply select ‘Add to Menu’ and you will immediately see the change.

Once added, you can use the re-order icon to place your new menu entry wherever you want it.

Drag your new menu item to just the right spot and click ‘Save’ to finish.

Want to remove a menu item? Admins can do that too. Just click the ‘Remove from Menu’ action and it’s gone.

Quick Search on Lists

Now you can do a ‘contains’ search right from the List view. Just click the magnifying glass in any available column header.

This works for most text fields, including reference fields and ID fields. It also works with “dot-walked” fields you’ve added to the list, making search way easier.

Now you can duplicate email templates!

You can also edit email templates faster & easier. Simply click the ‘Edit’ button to go to a dedicated Content window to edit your email body.

Now you can use your keyboard to navigate around a list view. Hit enter to edit a field. Tab or hit enter to make your change.
