At FreeAgent, we’ve been working hard to deliver new enhancements to help you crush your goals in 2023!

Add and Import Moved From Menus

Now your menus no longer have “Add” and “Import” repeated for every App. Instead access Add and Import from any view’s toolbar.

Comparison Reporting - Number Widget

Now you can include a comparison – including dates like Last Quarter, Last Week, and so on, on all your Number Widgets on Dashboards.

No Code Assignment Rules

Now admins can quickly assign Leads, Contacts, Accounts, Deals, Tickets, and more using a new automation action called “Assign Record.”

Prior Value for Notifications, Events

Now admins can include prior value in all your Notifications and Events. 👀 Especially handy for deal size changes – but also great for Stage changes too!

Admins can edit Events and Notifications by going to Settings/Advanced and selecting Events or Notifications. When editing the message template just type prior and the system will show you all the available values. Please note prior values are available in the message template only & not available in the body template.

Update Webforms

Now admins can configure webforms for use in UPDATING data. No code needed – no integration to write. What?! 😍 Here’s how it works:

First, create an “update” style webform.

Next, add your fields.

Then, configure your publish settings include mapping which fields to update on your App. Also choose which fields to “pre-fill” onto your update Webform.

Now configure your automation with the “Email Webform” action. In this example we’ll trigger via an App Action.

You can tailor the email however you like. Even customize the button your customer will click to launch the Webform.

Optionally add the App Action to trigger the automation.

And finally you’ve got an amazing new way to collect updated info. Here’s the App Action on the contact detail page.

When clicked an email is sent to your contact.

When your contact clicks the button, the webform opens automatically with all the “pre-filled” data you set up.

Once the contact finishes their submission they click the button and they are done!

If the contact tries to update the record again, they can’t – you’ve securely got your update and can move on with your work processes. They’ll receive this message if they try to use the same link again:

And guess what? FreeAgent is already updated with the contact’s info – no integration to write, and nothing to code or monitor. It just works.

Comparison for Gauge Chart

Now you can include comparisons in all your Gauges.

Just edit your favorite gauge and use the new ‘Comparison’ section to specify your comparison field.

Filter Deleted Records

Now admins can customize columns and specify filter conditions when working with Deleted Records.

Export to CSV Improvement for 'File' field type

Now when exporting to CSV the ‘file’ field type will export the S3 URL instead of the filename. This makes it easier to extract documents from FreeAgent.

AND/OR for Filters

Now you can use both “AND” and “OR” filters on Views and in other handy places like when building Charts or qualifying Automations. Wow!

The filter pills have been improved too. They show up in the order you specified them in, and you will see the AND and OR conditions clearly:

Pills & Checkboxes for Forms

Now admins can configure Choice List, Choice List Multi-Select, and Checkbox fields to render as ‘pills’ on forms in edit mode. Checkbox fields can also render as a simple checkbox too.

To configure the fields, admins can simply edit them from the form builder and set the ‘Render as’ attribute.

Faster & Easier Add Field

Now admins can add and edit fields 4x faster. New field choice selector makes deciding which field types to use simpler too. 😍

Missing Information Pop-up for Forms

Now if you forget to fill out a required field on a form a pop-up will prompt you to capture the missing info. Works for correcting invalid fields too!

Click Down on Charts

Now clicking-down from a column in a bar or column chart, or a wedge on a pie or donut chart, or on a number or gauge will pop a modal with just underlying list of records.

Email Unsubscribe List

Now customers using SendGrid can track unsubscribes automatically and have that information available in FreeAgent. Navigate to Email Unsubscribes to see your unsubscribe list.

Export Data in CSV or JSON to File URL

Now admins and other technically-minded FreeAgents can schedule data exports to a File URL (API endpoint). This is very useful for integrating FreeAgent to BI tools such as PowerBI. Here’s how it works:

1) Get your list view just the way you want it, including just the fields you need in your export. Then click Schedule Report.

2) Choose your scheduled report options, for example: export to ‘File’ using format ‘JSON’.

3) Have your report run; once it completes you will receive a notification and the export file will be available at the File URL you’ve specified.

4) Examine the contents of the exported file. For JSON format you will find the data exported as below:

Please note: the system will auto-export incremental data based on Updated date/time when exporting CSV or JSON to a file URL. Yay!

Automated SMS/MMS Campaigns

Now with FreeAgent’s “Text Campaigns” you can easily plan and execute targeted SMS campaigns without the hassle of manual messaging. Just click the “Text Campaigns” menu item under the Texts app.

Now with FreeAgent’s “Text Craft your perfect personalized text, and choose your target audience using a View.

With a few simple steps, you can schedule your outbound SMS messages to be sent automatically at a specific time and date.

All outbound texts will automatically show on your contact timelines. And you can trigger real-time notifications for alerting you and your team to prospect and customer responses. Even include links so your prospects and customers can be directed to your website or other offer-related content.
