The text Widget looks very simple on the surface. A text box that you can place within your Dashboard or Page. However, the options for what you can do with this widget go much deeper.
Configuration
As you configure your widget you’ll see the view in the right panel update in real time to reflect the changes you’ve made.
1. Title
This will add a title for your widget in the top right-hand corner of the screen.
2. Text
Here is where you edit the text you’d like to add to your widget. You can add plain text right from the main configuration screen or you can expand the text window to gain access to more options.
Click on the icon in the top right corner of the text window.
The text window will expand and you now have access to more editing tools at the top of the screen.
Here are a few of the options available to you:
- Adjust the font type and the size.
- Insert emoji.
- Change the text alignment.
- Insert links to pages in Servis.ai.
- Upload file attachments.
- Insert images.
Here’s an example of an image I added to a Text Widget. I can then add a hyperlink to the image creating a custom app icon for a page within Servis.ai or elsewhere.
3. Borderless
Clicking this checkbox will remove the white border around your widget.
