Servis.ai offers a range of features to enhance your calling experience. You can take notes during a call, view a complete call history, and track call durations—all directly within the platform. To help you get the most out of these tools, we’ve put together some practical tips for making effective calls.
Behind these features is Twilio, the service that powers our call functionality. Twilio is a cloud-based communications platform that enables voice calls over the internet—also known as Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP).
Internet Connection
Since the service depends on the internet to perform the calls the very first thing you will need to test is your internet connection. To do so, please click on the following link and complete the steps:

You will need to allow access to your microphone and computer’s camera to complete the test.
The most important part of this test is making sure that your connection supports at least one connection, to ensure that you can make good calls. This information is shown during the Twilio Network Test, as you can see in the image below:
Internet Speed
You can also try carrying out a speed test to check how fast your internet connection is, as a high speed and low latency network connection is needed. Here are some tools you can use for this purpose:
Computer Settings
It is important to make sure that your computer settings will allow the call to happen. There are a few things to keep an eye on:
1. Computer performance (CPU Usage)
Your computer’s performance depends on how much processing power is being used—especially when running multiple programs at once. Too many open apps can slow things down and affect how well they work.
To keep your system running smoothly:
- Close any programs you’re not actively using
- Free up CPU resources to ensure better app performance
On Mac, use ‘Activity Monitor’, available under ‘Utilities’ in your applications.
On Windows, use ‘Task Manager’, which you can access by opening Start, search for’Task Manager’ and click the result.
2. Memory
Keeping enough free memory is key to smooth computer performance. It’s generally recommended to leave 15–20% of your storage space free. Some systems may require even more to avoid potential errors.
To check your memory usage:
- Use the same tool you use to monitor CPU performance
- Look for the “Memory” section to see current usage and available space
3. Settings
To make calls in Servis.ai, your browser needs permission to use your microphone. By default, this access is often blocked, which can cause issues—like a blank call window with no audio.
Recommendations:
- Use Google Chrome for the best experience with Servis.ai.
- To enable microphone access:
- Click the padlock icon to the left of the website URL.
- Find the “Microphone” setting and set it to “Allow.”
4. Audio Settings
For clearer, more reliable VoIP calls, it’s recommended to use a headset instead of your computer’s built-in microphone and speakers. Here’s why:
- Better audio quality: Most headsets include noise-canceling microphones, reducing background noise.
- Improved sound: Headphones help you hear more clearly.
- Avoid feedback: Using a headset prevents the echo and feedback that can occur with built-in speakers and mics.
- Other option
If your internet connection isn’t strong enough—or if call quality issues persist despite troubleshooting—consider making calls using a landline or your mobile phone instead.
You can still keep track of these calls by logging them manually in Servis.ai to maintain accurate records.
